Pianist, Composer Avi Schönfeld.

Avi Schönfeld is an internationally acclaimed pianist, composer, and teacher who made his debut with the Israeli Radio and Television Orchestra after notable competition wins in Poland.

He studied with a.o. Arthur Rubinstein, Ilona Vincze, Vlado Perlemuter, and Nadia Boulanger. Previous Professor Emeritus of the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels and the Maastricht Conservatorium, he continues to shape classical music worldwide through his compositions and jury work.

Agitato

Avi Schönfeld was commissioned for the fifth time to write a composition for the competition of the Ecole Superieur de Musique, Alfred Cortot, in Paris, which took place in May 2000. The piece was performed by more than sixty candidates from around the world.

Commissioned as a set piece for the École Normale (Paris) Diplôme Supérieur, it stands out as an impressive challenge in both technique and musicality.
